Ray’s personal dedication to social impact is reflected in each program he works on. His personal mission is to never let up until his community has the same resources and opportunities as its neighboring communities, including New York City. Ray has been recognized by his city as a leader, mentor, and ambassador for their Generation Yonkers campaign. He has been named one of the Business Council of Westchester’s ‘40 Under 40’ Rising Stars for 2020; honored by the State, County and City with the Martin Luther King Day’s ‘Man of Service’ award for his outstanding community efforts; and recognized as Westchester Magazine’s Best of Westchester’s Art Luminaries.

Ray has been living in Yonkers for more than 30 years and is a graduate of Lehman College where he earned his BA in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing (while minoring in English). As a self-proclaimed ‘Art Hunter’, you can always rely on Ray to experience a new art gallery or street mural on a weekly basis.

Ray’s dedication to Yonkers Arts has seen the organization fo from strength to strength. Under his guidance, Yonkers Arts has launched a variety of creative and educational programs which have been offered at the Yonkers Arts Project Space and other locations within the City, installed murals throughout the City including the Black Lives Matter in front of City Hall, and built strong relationships with elected officials and representatives from Westchester County and the State of New York.

Ray has the ability to develop and implement initiatives that create a meaningful impact on all partners involved - from the youth participating in the programming to the partners collaborating with the organization. His passion for social justice and its associated causes provides a unique perspective to approaching challenges within the community.
