Perelman was formally trained as an architect. In recent years, he has been director of The Blue Door Artist and has organized numerous exhibitions. He has worked in a variety of media. Work has been exhibited in museums and galleries including The Neuberger Museum, The Whitney Museum and Leo Castelli.
